Deleting your data

You control the personal data TextTango holds about you and can request its deletion at any time. This page explains how to delete your account and personal data, what is removed, and how to reach us. It complements our Privacy Policy.

Delete your account in the app

The fastest way to delete your data is from your account:

1. Sign in at app.texttango.com.
2. Go to Settings → Security.
3. Under Delete Account, confirm the deletion.

Deleting your account is permanent and ends your access to the Services.

What is deleted

When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymized. This includes your profile and contact details, your contacts and message-recipient data, and your message and campaign records, which are anonymized so they can no longer be linked to you. Encrypted credentials and connected-integration tokens are removed.

Some de-identified records may be retained where the law requires it (for example, billing, tax, and audit obligations), and backups are cycled out on a rolling schedule. See the "Data Retention" section of our Privacy Policy for details.

WhatsApp and Meta data

If your business connected a WhatsApp Business Account to TextTango, deleting your account also removes the WhatsApp data we hold on your behalf, including the connection and access tokens, message templates we mirror from Meta, and WhatsApp conversation records, which are deleted or anonymized alongside the rest of your data.

You can also disconnect a WhatsApp number at any time from the WhatsApp section of the app, which stops further processing. Data held by Meta on WhatsApp's own platform is governed by Meta's policies; to remove it there, use Meta's tools or contact Meta directly.
